Women Up Club


All sessions are at BookClub:

This is a BookClub for women to come together, learn from each other and the books that they will read together. Each session will feature one of 3 local authors and their recently published works.

Facilitated by Cara Pollard, PCI certified Parent Coach and educator
Cara Pollard  offers coaching services to families, couples, women and teens. She is highly trained at transforming lives by incorporating her in depth background, including legal expertise, teaching acumen, and early childhood development studies. She listens deeply and compassionately to her clients and then provides specific suggestions to implement new attitudes and strategies for moving forward toward their preferred future. She is the founder of Away We Play, an award winning program for children.
Alexandra H. Solomon, PhD, is staff clinical psychologist, member of the teaching faculty in the marriage and family therapy graduate program, and clinical assistant professor of psychology at The Family Institute at Northwestern University. Her work on romantic relationships appears in academic journals and edited books.
Barbara Mahany is an author and freelance journalist in Chicago, who writes these days about stumbling on the sacred amid the cacophony of the modern-day domestic melee. She was a reporter and feature writer at the Chicago Tribune for nearly 30 years.She is married to the Tribune’s Pulitzer Prize-winning architecture critic, Blair Kamin, and together they’ve raised their two sons in both their Catholic and Jewish traditions and faiths.
Kelley Kitley is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in private practice and owner of SERENDIPITOUS PSYCHOTHERAPY, LLC in downtown Chicago. She has been a featured Expert Contributor in over 100 publications. Kelley is recognized as an International Women’s Mental Health Expert specializing in postpartum issues, anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationships.
